Meet the Dealers
One of the best parts of the A Primitive Place Show is the variety of dealers who travel to Wahpeton with antiques, primitives, folk art, early furniture, smalls, handmade goods, and one-of-a-kind finds.
We are currently introducing our 2026 dealers on social media and will continue announcing more as we get closer to the show. Below is a preview of some of the dealers already announced.
Sweet Pea's Primitives and Such
Ron & Nancy Nelson of Hinckley, Illinois
Primitive lovers are going to want to run for this one. Ron and Nancy specialize in early country antiques, filling their spaces with old painted cupboards, dry sinks, tables, apothecary cabinets, stoneware, early baskets, oriental rugs, firkins, pantry boxes, lighting, and plenty of smalls.
Blessed Raven Antiques
Lisa Fox of Somonauk, Illinois
Blessed Raven Antiques specializes in quality early American country and primitive antiques, with an emphasis on pieces with age and surface construction.
The Rusty Nickel
Erin Peterson of Manly, Iowa
Erin’s family-run business began in 2009 and has grown into a beloved staple of northern Iowa, offering one-of-a-kind, handmade primitive home goods alongside a wide variety of primitive, colonial, and country decor.
Fun fact: Erin has carried A Primitive Place Magazine since the very beginning, back when her name was Erin Nickel. That’s where the shop name The Rusty Nickel was born!
At our show, you’ll find her booth brimming with one-of-a-kind folk art creations, fall dolls, pumpkins, stitchery pillows and samplers, hooked rugs, and of course, an assortment of primitives!
Jack and Kathy Hendrickson of Montevideo, Minnesota
Its impressive size alone makes it a standout, but the old painted surface and wonderful folk appearance make it the kind of piece you’ll notice from across the show.
Exceptional folk art is something you can expect to find in Jack and Kathy’s booth. This year they’re also bringing whirligigs depicting people at work, a colorful horse racing game wheel, an expressive face jug, folk-art toys, early woodenware, stoneware crocks and jugs, firkins and more.
